I often come up with entertainment projects designed to expand my pop culture savvy.  This usually results in me binging on some TV series I missed out on or need to refresh my memory about.  (For example, I’ve been watching the original Star Trek again lately: https://twitter.com/TomCroom/status/418089593972731905)

A few years back I started down a slightly more “intellectual” project, though, that is still going on: watching all of the Academy Award winners for Best Picture.  The last time I updated about it was July 28, 2009: https://www.tomcroom.com/archives/344

Since then, I’ve watched a few more – but the “to watch” list is still pretty long.  I’ve bought and own a few of the ones on the list (American Beauty, Braveheart, etc.) and while I’ve already seen some of them in theaters, I plan on watching them again on Blu-ray.
