For those of you still opposed to gay marriage…
0I read a great quote from a friend of someone on my Facebook today that, thanks to recent events, really drives the argument home. Kudos, good sir:
So, Larry King is getting his 8th divorce, Elizabeth Taylor is possibly getting married for a 9th time, Jesse James and Tiger Woods are screwing EVERYTHING, yet the idea of same-sex marriage is what is going to destroy the institution of marriage? Really?
I’m not dead.
0Seriously.
I’m still alive – and I’ve actually been pretty active on the Internet. I’ve just been so bogged down with other websites and proposals and projects and blah and blah and more blah and… well, you get the picture.
The good news is that as of right now (at 2:08 AM in the morning) I have my inbox down to 7 emails that need to address. I haven’t been below 100 in well over a month. Odds of an honest to God blog post are going up. Joey Snackpants on the other hand is rumored to be scribbling notes on napkins, but no blog updates.
For now, though, I leave you with this picture of an AT-AT made of bacon. Good night.

Bad blogger, Fox 35 news, and the busy busy life of Tom…
1First off – yes. I know. I have been terrible at updating my blog recently. [INSERT CLEVER SELF-DEPRECATING HUMOROUS COMMENT HERE].
Instead of going on and on about how busy my life has been in the past twenty seven days (pause for dramatic “yes it really has been that long” moment), I am just going to try to hammer out some posts over the next week exhibiting all the zaniness that has ensued over the past few weeks.
The most recent event of note is the easiest: I was on Fox News in Orlando, Florida last Friday:
Some friends of mine (thanks Keith) decided to nominate and vote for me online due to my work with charities and fan conventions. (A more detailed story will be on www.wasabianime.com later this morning.)
Key things of note from the video above:
- While I have done work for Give Kids the World (especially during my time at Universal Studios), the specific instance noted in the interview actually involved The Children’s Dream Fund.
- I was hoping to mention other upcoming events that we plan on doing charity work with, but the vibe I got was that they wanted to keep it “local.” I did manage to mention Anime Festival Orlando.
- Contrary to popular belief – I did NOT plan on wearing shorts that day. I honest-to-God though I had packed jeans. As a result, though, you get to check out my SEXY AWESOME LEGS!
It was pretty exciting being on the news set. Check out this picture I snapped while waiting for the interview:
So that’s all for this morning. I swear I’ll do my damndest to get some more updates done this week. Maybe I’ll even conclude the epic tale of Ford Motor Company.
