My grandmother…
Feb 22nd
This past weekend, I made the drive down to Miami, Florida to do some work for the upcoming Florida Supercon convention. For those of you that know me well, my schedule is a nonstop run from my day job to running my hobby/business to working any one of a dozen creative projects. On rare occasions, though, the timing of things works out to my benefit and I am blessed with some time to see people I wish I could see more often.
One of those individuals in my grandmother.
She lives in a retirement community in South Florida and I was able to stop in and see her last Saturday. You wouldn’t believe it from the photo, but she’s 87 years old – but to me she looks the same as I remember her twenty years ago. It was wonderful to see her again.
That said – my 2 PM in Miami ran to until MUCH later than originally planned and I wound up getting home at around 4 AM the next morning. Sunday was spent sleeping, eating, playing a little bit of XBox 360 and then more sleep. This week is going to be pretty busy – so don’t expect much out of me except for the random “tweet”.
March, though, should be a month of more zaniness and announcements. Stay tuned.
Floridians are fascinated with the white stuff…

(insert cocaine, marshmallow fluff, or mayonnaise joke here)
I am in Georgia this weekend for Green Mustard Entertainment related business stuff – and I took the opportunity to stop in Augusta, Georgia to visit my in-laws. By the time I arrived late last night, the town was covered in inches of snow.
This morning, the sky was a decided to be clear and blue… making for a great photo op while the snow started to melt. I even managed to get and “action shot” of the snow falling from a tree while it was melting (click here). While walking around, we even stumbled across the old Eskimo lesson of “never eat yellow snow” (click here).

Just when you thought things on Facebook couldn’t get any stranger…
Dec 2nd
So today I got a friend request for a hot looking 18 year old girl on Facebook. Oddly - I am kind of used to the random requests from fans and folks I meet at fan conventions, and I typically send a polite “please follower me on my Blog and Twitter instead” email back since I keep my Facebook fairly private. There was just one odd thing:
The girl had the same last name as me.
After a couple of calls to relatives, it turns out that the “hot girl” is my cousin who (along with my uncle and her sister) kind of “fell of the planet” years ago.
(Insert creepy “ew” feeling here for the initial hot girl comment earlier. I did. Still grasping my age at this moment and freaking out a bit mentally. I’ll be fine, though.)
My last memory of her was talking to her on the phone around circa 1999. She was thanking me for getting her and her sister signed CDs from all the members of ‘N Sync (which I got through my connections at Universal; long story.)
So yeah. Odd. It seems my uncle is also on Facebook, too – but I didn’t hear from him.
Strange things are afoot at the Circle K, Ted.
