After Dad passed away a couple of weeks ago, I took possession of a couple of boxes of old photos. REALLY old photos. What’s amazing about some of them (to me) is that many of them are of ME – and I have never seen before. Going through them is like reliving memories I’ve never recalled having.
As part of my digital obsession and oversharing fetish, I’ve started scanning and uploading them: approximately one a day. I started with this fun photo of myself:
Today, I found an old photo of myself with my grandmother:
Interestingly enough, I saw Grandma less than a month ago. Here’s the most recent photo of us together.
Back to the old photos: they are an interesting peek into the early seventies from a unique perspective that I experienced, but don’t exactly remember. I will probably (eventually) start figuring out a time effective way to cross post these onto my Instagram. For now, though, I’m posting them (daily) in these two places:
Here’s the ones that have made it online so far:
That’s all I’ve posted so far. There are HUNDREDS MORE, but as I explained to my friend Angie last night: something like this is best handled ten minutes a day and one day at a time.
